Below you will find examples of some of the results that we have been able to accomplish for our clients. Rankings go up and down every day - so some of the positions you see below may be higher or lower than the numbers I have posted. I try to keep this list as up to date as possible.
Also - because you may be in a different region of the US - you may also see slightly different results.
Please note that these results are ORGANIC results. When you search for something in Google, Yahoo or MSN the sponsored or PAY PER CLICK results will always be at the top of the page above the organic results. You will know they are a Pay Per Click web site because to the right of the listings you will see "Sponsored" The rankings I am quoting below do NOT count the sponsored sites in positioning. Ie. #1, #2, #3. These are advertisements targeted to the keyword phrase. Not actual search engine results.
Pay per click results are those that companies pay for for their site to show up in those sponsored sections of Google, Yahoo & MSN. You will see them at the top of nearly EVERY search you do and also to the right of the page.
Here is an example of Google sponsored results - you can see the very faint yellow background around the top 3 sites - and off to the right I have pointed out the word "Sponsored Links" to show you where to look.
Google and YAHOO both use this method of placing the sponsored links at the top and using the same format as the real results. It makes the sponsored results look like they are part of the organic results. They do this because consumers are desensitized to advertisements today. 75% of online searchers will actually skip over these sponsored results and go straight to the organic results.
Here is a YAHOO example. The 3 sponsored results at the top have a light yellow background in this example.
Have you noticed in the last year or so that Google, YAHOO and msn no longer put a #1, #2, #3, #4 etc next to the search results? Again, that is because they want the sponsored results to blend in.
Looking at msn, its a little different of a view - but the same theory. The sponsored listings at the top have a greyish background - and they also have the sponsored listings to the right. In addition they have a little section at the far top right that suggests you "Expand your search". All Paid for Advertisements.

Please note that search engines change minute to minute and region to region so you may see slight variances to these rankings. Type the search term/Keyword into the search engine mentioned below and look for the website that it is listed under.
The great thing about the AtlantisMortgage.com site is that they rank well not only for the entire STATE of Michigan but also for just the keyword MORTGAGE COMPANY for the entire USA!

This is a local FORD Car dealership in Brooklyn Michigan which is right outside of Jackson Michigan where I live. My husband works here and they originally hired me just to design the site. Little did they know when I design, I optimize. Soon after they were starting to get results just from the little bit of work I had done and they asked me to complete the work. Now this little dealership is beating out all of its local competitors in Jackson in Search engine traffic as well as some of the STATE traffic!
