What is Search Engine Optimization you might ask? It is a confusing term that many people throw around and think they understand fully, but until they have to actually participate in it, do not realize the full extent of what it involves. Search engine optimization is the process of taking your current website and using the most popular keywords and phrases in the proper places in order to ensure that the search engines see your site as an authority on its niche or market.
For instance, if your site is about real estate in Seattle Washington, then your meta tags should contain all the proper keyword phrases, your content should repeat them, your images should be optimized for them, your anchor text in all of your links should be optimized...and so on and so on. The optimization of a website is a very in depth process and involves many techniques that too many webmasters skip over in the effort to finish a site faster.

First , I research & compile a list of the top keyword phrases that relate to your market and area.
Second, I check your website against that list and determine if your website design and content is optimized for those keywords. IF NOT - then this is where the onsite search engine optimization starts. This is not always what my clients want to hear - however, it would be useless to spend hours submitting your site to the search engines, linking it and monitoring it if the site itself is not using the proper search engine optimization format within your code and meta tags.
Third, I determine your current position for those keyword phrases in the top 3 search engines: Yahoo, Google & MSN.
Fourth, I determine your top 3 competitors in each Yahoo, Google & MSN for the same keyword phrases.
Fifth, I find out what it is your competitors are doing that is helping them to be successful in the search engines.
Sixth, I submit a full SEO report to you with all of the details and a plan of attack on what needs to be done to get your site on the front page of Yahoo &/or Google &/or MSN.
Plan of Attack: Search Engine Optimization
IF the case is that your site is not optimized properly, this is where we will begin. I will give you a detailed proposal on what needs to be done in order for your site to be properly optimized and I will make those changes first. Depending on your site, this can be a few small changes to a entire site revamp. If you want your website to succeed - this is a very important step and cannot be skipped. It is so important in fact, that I would not recommend doing all of the Search Engine Submission & Linking work on your site without it. My guarantee is this: Your site will show up on the first page of Yahoo &/OR Google &/OR MSN for at least one of your top 5 keywords within 6 months of me starting your project or I will give you a $200 Adwords Credit.
Without the onsite SEO - the SESL (Search Engine Submission & Link Plan) will not work.
