If you are serious about getting your site on the front page of Google, Yahoo or Bing then your site needs to be listed in some high PR sites. Each link you get is a vote for your site and tells the search engines you are an authority on a subject (keyword phrase). There are different levels of links that you can get and some are more infulential than others. The ones I have listed below are the biggest and best and are on my recommended list.

Yahoo Directory - $299 a year.

• First log into Yahoo
• Then go to the link above
• Find the category that you want to be listed in - be specific, for instance don't list your site under California Real Estate when you are in San Ramon. The easiest way to do this is in the search box at the top of the page type in "Your city real estate" or "Your city mortgage". Make sure the "Directory" button is checked. Then there will be category suggestions at the top of the results. Click the category that most fits your sites theme.
• Then once you are in the category - click on "Suggest a Site" on the top right corner of the page
• Fill out the details.
• Title: This is your #1 keyword; not the name of your site. (i.e. Midland Real Estate)
